Module 6 Unit 4 Reading (2) Teaching Plan School: High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University Class: Class 12, Senior 2 Teacher: Peng Lei Teaching objectives: 1. By the end of the class, we should be enabled to: • learn some new words and phrases by reading some example sentences; • practise some new words and phrases; • read an article concerning a volunteer; • write a short passage by using the phrases learnt in this class. Important and difficult points: 2. Help students master the use of the new words and useful phrases. 3. Improve students’ writing ability. 4. Help students to raise the awareness of their responsibility to be a volunteer. Teaching procedures: Step1：Lead-in Review the text by discussing the development goals with the students. Stept2: Explanation and discussion of some important words and phrases with some exercises and tasks. Step3: Writing and presentation Use the words or phrases given in class to present a short writing about the reason for becoming a volunteer. (Writing guidance is offered in this part) Step5: Summary and Homework Polish up the writing after class.
